Youth shot dead

Unidentified criminals shot a youth to death at Bhaturia village in Jashore Sadar upazila yesterday.

The deceased, Imrul Islam, 31, was son of Nur Islam of the village.

Police said a gang shot Imrul near a fish enclosure at the village in the afternoon and fled the scene, leaving him critically injured.

Locals took bullet-hit Imrul to Jashore General Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
