Youth found dead in Rangamati hotel

A youth was found dead in a residential hotel in the Reserve Bazar area of the town yesterday.

The deceased is Abdul Halim, 26, son of late Abdur Rashid of South Forest Colony in the hill district town, said Sub-Inspector Muhammad Abdur Rahim of Kotwali Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Rahim said Halim rented room No 102 of Al-Helal Hotel on October 25 and his body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the hotel room yesterday morning.

The police officer said the youth might have committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt from the ceiling fan of the room.

He said police sent the body to Rangamati Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
