Youth found dead in Faridpur

Police recovered the hanging body of a youth from a tree at an orchard at Bongram village in Saltah upazila on Monday.

The deceased is farmer Zahangir Matabbar, 35, son of late Salam Matabbar of Boroluxkhandia village in the upazila.

The victim’s aunt Bhanu Begum said Zahangir went out of home on Sunday afternoon and he did not return home since then.

On information, police recovered the hanging body from the tree at Bongram village in the morning.

Ashim Kumar, sub-inspector of Saltha Police Station, said the body was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
