Youth crushed under train while talking over phone

A youth was crushed under wheels of a train while crossing rail tracks in Narsingdi town yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Shaheen Alam, 29, son of Siddique Mia of Birgaon village in Raipura upazila. He worked at Darigaon Community Clinic in the upazila as a community health provider.

Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Firoz Ahmed said Shaheen was talking over mobile phone when the train hit him.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Narsingdi General Hospital for autopsy, said the SI.
