Worker electrocuted

A worker was electrocuted and three others were injured at Mukhoria village in Achintapur union of Gouripur upazila yesterday.

The deceased was Mahbub Mia, 27, of Kunihati village in Kendua upazila of Netrakona.

Mahbub and three other workers came in contact with live electric wire when they were working for new electricity connection under a contractor of Palli Bidyut Samity at Mukhoria village, Gouripur Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun quoted locals as saying.

Hearing screams, locals rescued them and took to Gouripur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared Mahbub dead.
