Woman killed, 2 held

A housewife was killed by her husband and in-laws allegedly over family feud in Kaharol upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased, Rupali Rani Roy, 30, was wife of Bishuram Roy of Chirakutipara village in the upazila.

Quoting locals and victim's family members, police said there had been a family feud between Rupali and her in-laws.

As a sequel, at one stage of altercation on Sunday, Rupali's in-laws beat her mercilessly and then strangled her to death.

Being informed by locals, police went to the spot and detained Bishuram's parents Jiten Chandra Roy and Subola Rani Roy from their house.
