Woman found dead

Police recovered the body on an elderly woman from her house in Sadar upazila yesterday.

The victim, Rokeya Begum, 62, was wife of late Mohammad Sukuddi of Maharajpur Purbo Tikra village in the upazila.

Being informed by the neighbours, police recovered Rokeya's throat-slit body from her room around 1:00pm and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy,

Criminals might have killed her early yesterday, Officer in Charge of Sadar Police Station Ziaur Rahman said, adding that they were trying to find out the motive behind the murder and arrest the culprits.
