Unidentified body recovered in Pirojpur

Police recovered an unidentified body from a canal in Pirojpur Sadar upazila this morning.

The body of the around 35-year-old man was tied to a pole in the canal in Kadamtola village, said Md Nurul Islam Badal, officer-in-charge of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station.

Police also recovered a bag and some other objects from near the body, the OC said adding that there are no injury marks on the body.

"We are trying to identify the deceased," he also said.

Further details regarding the incident could not be known immediately.
