Two kids drown in pond

Two minor boys drowned in a pond at Gilabari village in Aditmari upazila on Sunday.

The deceased are Habibur Rahman Habib, 6, son of Altab Hossain, and Jamal Hossain, 5, son of Nabir Hossain, of the village.

Quoting the victims' family members, police said the two kids were playing on the bank of a pond near their houses on Sunday afternoon when suddenly they slipped into the pond and drowned.

Villagers found their bodies floating in the pond the same evening, recovered those and informed the police, Officer in Charge of Aditmari Police Station Saiful Islam said.
