Trained horses imported from India for Bangladesh Police

Six trained horses were imported from India for the Bangladesh Police through Benapole Port last night.

The horses were brought in by horse ambulance trucks from Petrapole port in India and is expected to reach the Dhaka Rajarbagh police line today, reports our Benapole correspondent.

It is reported that the horses have been imported at a cost of $65,400 from Bidhata Suppliers, an exporter in Barasat area of West Bengal.

The clearing and forwarding agent, Madham Enterprise, has submitted a bill of entry to deliver the horses from the Benapole Customs House.

Benapole Customs Assistant Commissioner Akram Hossain said the horses were brought from Gurgaon in Haryana, India. Customs authorities delivered the horses after filing all customs related documentation.
