Trader stabbed dead

Unidentified criminals stabbed a trader to death near his house in Baufal upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased, Siddique Sharif, 55, son of Aijuddin Sharif of Sabupura village, used to run a grocery shop at Sabupura Bazar.

Quoting local people, police said an unidentified gang waylaid Siddique while he was returning home from his shop around 8:00pm and stabbed him indiscriminately.

Hearing screams, locals rescued the victim and took him to Baufal Upazila health Complex, where the doctors declared him dead.
