Teenager arrested for rape in Pabna

A teenage boy was arrested on charges of raping a madrasa girl in Pabna's Chatmohar upazila yesterday, said police.

A local court in the district sent arrestee Md Rony Mollah (18) of Choroikola village to jail, as police produced him before it after his arrest yesterday afternoon, our Pabna correspondent reports.

Officer-In-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station Md Aminul Islam said the arrest was made as the victim's father filed a rape case accusing Rony yesterday.

Rony took the girl to his house on June 20 and used his mobile phone to record a video of the incident and share it, the OC said, citing case details.

Police seized the mobile phone from the arrestee, the police official said, adding that the girl was sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital for medical examination.
