Super Fresh Drinking Water, Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust sign sustainability partnership agreement
Super Fresh Drinking Water and Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust - BANCAT have signed a MoU yesterday at the MGI Head Office in Gulshan. Under the agreement, Super Fresh Drinking Water will support BANCAT as Sustainability Partner for a year. The Daily Star is the media partner for this partnership.
Tahmina Mostafa, Director of Meghna Group of Industries and Sarawat Siraj, Executive Chairperson of Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust signed the partnership agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust – BANCAT (Formerly Bangladesh Cancer Aid Foundation, BANCAF) is a nationwide, community-based, voluntary organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by prevention and diminishing suffering through education, advocacy and service.
BANCAT started its journey in 2011 originally as an independent initiative and most recently in 2019 transformed into a trust. BANCAT provides financial assistance and emotional support to the underserved cancer patients of the society. It also works towards raising awareness about cancer through a variety of social activities at different levels of society, notable among a few such activities; Cricket for Cancer, Walkathon, Road Show, Cancer Screening etc. People from different walks of life and various business organizations directly help BANCAT to manage and serve its patients through financial and other assistance.
Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust acts as a bridge between the affluent and disadvantaged people of the society, working tirelessly and relentlessly to prevent cancer.
Rokia Afzal Rahman, President of BANCAT said "this contribution of Super Fresh Drinking Water will play a leading role in cancer prevention in Bangladesh for the uninterrupted management of BANCAT."
Among others, Najmus Admed Albab, Author, Sabrina Shaheed, Trustee, Mahzabin Ferdous, General Secretary of Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust and Asif Iqbal, Deputy Managing Director - FMCG, Kazi Mohiuddin, General Manager - Brand of Meghna Group of Industries were present during the signing ceremony.
