Schoolgirl crushed under train

A female student was crushed under a train in Bhangagate area in Abhaynagar upazila of Jashore yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Joytunnesa Munni, 16, daughter of Ariful Islam Sheikh of Dewapara village in the upazila.

Noapara Railway Station Master Mohsin Ali said Munni, a Secondary School Certificate examinee, died when she was hit by a Khulna-bound commuter train.

Railway police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
