'Robber' killed in Feni 'gunfight'

An alleged robber was killed in what police said in a gunfight between two robber gangs in Chhagalnaiya town of Feni early today.

The deceased was identified as Mohiuddin alias Dakat Sabuj, 30, from Bashpara village of the municipality, MM Morshed, officer-in-charge of Chhagalnaiya Police Station, told our correspondent.

Two other members of the gangs -- Md Palash, 32, and Faruk, 27, were also detained from the spot, he said adding that among them, Palash suffered bullet wounds.

Besides, police recovered a firearm, five bullets, and some sharp weapons, he added.

A case has been filed in this regard.
