Road transport operations to resume from Monday

Operations of road transport, following all health guidelines, will resume from June 1, Road Transport and Highway Division Secretary Nazrul Islam said today.

A committee will hold a meeting tomorrow to decide on new fares, he said.

Nazrul said this after holding a meeting with transport leaders and other stakeholders at Bangladesh Road Transport Authority headquarters in Dhaka.

The operation of road transport came to a halt across the country after the government announced closure of all offices and schools from March 26 in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
