Rangamati ready to receive tourist

There are many attractive tourist spots in our country including Rangamati, one of the most popular spots for domestic tourist. 

On this Eid holidays, many of tourist spots in Rangamati, including Sajak Valley, Hanging Bridge, Kaptai Lake, Paulwell Park, Aranyak Peda Ting Ting and Subolong spring, are expecting guests from all over the country.

There are all hotels, motels, resorts; guesthouses are fully prepared to handle the rush of visitors on Eid vacation in the hill district. There are around 30 hotels in this region.

Rangamati Porjoton Complex expects a high turnout of domestic tourists from all over the country due to a long vacation.

“We expect an increased number of tourists during the Eid vacation,” Srijon Bikash Barua, Manager of Bangladesh Porjoton Complex, Rangamati unit, told this correspondent.

“Our motels and guesthouses already have sold 60 percent of the rooms for the Eid vacation and I expect it will be filling up before EID”, he said.

Muhammad Ramjan Ali, Manager of Porjoton Boat Ghat, said, we are ready to receive tourist. Every boat we have arrange life jacket for tourist. We always inspire ride on a boat with life jacket.

Mohammad Monju Mia, 35, owner of engine boat said, they are repairing some our boat before on coming Eid vacation. They have sufficient boats to maintain huge number of tourists.  

On contact, Suman Chakma, owner of Russel Dhola Restaurant (a restaurant run by hill people) told The Daily Star “we expect that most of the tourist will come to our restaurant when they visit Rangamati.” 

We always make special indigenous food item for our Gorba (Guest). Such as bamboo shoot, mash kebang, chumo gorang, huro guedye et, said Sumon. 

“Tourist police will be deployed at important tourist spots to ensure security. On the other hand, a large number of policemen have been deployed to avoid any untoward incidents,” said Muhammad Johirul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of Rangamati tourist police.
