Question leak: 45 held in Patuakhali
12 including local government employees convicted by mobile court
At least 45 people were held in Patuakhali today for their involvement in question leak of primary school’s assistant teacher recruitment examination.
A mobile court has convicted 12 on these charges and jailed them on various terms, our local correspondent reports quoting police officers.
Police are taking steps against the other 33 accused, Md Moinul Hasan, superintendent of police in Patuakhali said in a press briefing this afternoon.
Two of those jailed are employees of local district administration, Md Nurul Hafiz, additional deputy magistrate (ADM) said at another press conference.
The two are Dipu Sikder, 24, and Saiful Mridha, 25 – sentenced to a month in imprisonment.
The other ten convicts were arrested from different places in the town with mobile devices for being involved in question leak, the ADM said.
