Punish college teacher for sexual harassment
Demand prosessionists in Gaibandha town, students also agitate on the issue
Activists of Nari Mukti Kendro Gaibandha unit yesterday brought out a procession that paraded the main roads of Gaibandha town, demanding punishment of a teacher of Gaibandha Government College.
Carrying placards and banners demanding removal of Amit Patha, head of history department of Gaibandha Government College, for allegedly sexually harassing female students on different occasions. Later, they held a protest meeting at rail crossing traffic point in the town.
Those who spoke on the occasion are President Gaibandha Nari Mukti Kendro Rokeya Khatun, General Secretary Nilufar Yasmin Shilpi, and Organising Secretary Shamim Ara Meena.
On the same issue, students of Gaibandha Government College also staged demonstration yesterday. They brought out a procession in this regard.
The agitating students paraded the college campus and later held a protest meeting at the campus premise, demanding arrest of Amit Partha and his removal from the college.
