Policeman killed in Natore road accident

A policeman was killed in a road accident while on a walk in Natore town this morning.

Deceased Bishnu Paul (40) was assistant town sub-inspector at Natore Police Lines, our local correspondent reports.

The incident happened as an unidentified vehicle hit Bishnu while he was walking in Boro Harishpur Shashanghat area in the morning, said Ramjan Ali Khan, reserve inspector of the police lines.

Locals rescued him and rushed him to Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead, the official said.

A truck might have hit him, he added.
