Physically challenged girl raped in Kushtia

Police on Wednesday night arrested a man in connection with a case for raping a physically challenged girl in Khoksa upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The arrestee, also a father of three children, was produced before a court yesterday that sent him to jail.

According to the case statement, the 14-year-old physically challenged girl went the arrestee's shop on Tuesday noon.

Taking advantage of her physical disability, he lured the girl with chocolate, took her to his house adjacent to the shop and rapped her.

The next day, victim's parents met Khoksa Upazila Women Affairs Officer Ruby Khatun and disclosed the matter to her.
