No chance for officers to stay in the same place: DIG Anwar

Deputy Inspector General (Chattogram Range) Anwar Hossain today termed the recent reshuffle in Cox's Bazar police administration remarkable and said officers could expect newer postings instead of remaining in the same place.

He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after visiting Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.

Talking about the recent reshuffle in the police administration in Cox's Bazar, the DIG said that it is definitely an exceptional matter. Everyone has been transferred together and now officers, from constables to SPs, are new, he said.

He said he came to Cox's Bazar to boost the morale of the newcomers and encourage them to perform their duties with professionalism.

"During my tenure, no officer will get a chance to stay in one place," the DIG said.

He also said that strict action would be taken against drug traffickers in Cox's Bazar after making a fresh list of the offenders.

The DIG said action will be taken as per the new list after verification of what kind of legal course was taken against them before, types of cases filed against them and based on their profiles.
