NGO employee found dead

A female employee of Brac, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), was found dead at her rented house in Rangpur’s Pirganj upazila yesterday.

The deceased, Rumi Khatun, 30, was daughter of Altaf Hossain of Mohishamuri village in the upazila.

Officer in Charge (OC) of Pirganj Police Station Saroj Chandra said failing to find any response from Rumi’s room till noon, house owner Taslim Uddin informed the matter to police.

Later, police recovered Rumi’s hanging body by breaking open the doors of her rented house at Bhendabari village.
