Monitor whether bar associations maintain health guidelines: HC asks govt

The High Court today directed the government to form a committee to monitor whether health guidelines are properly maintained at all the bar association premises to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The government has also been asked to submit a report before the court by July 5 after complying with the directive.

The bench of Justice JBM Hassan came up with the order after virtually hearing a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyers seeking necessary directives.

Barrister Humayun Kabir Pallob and Advocate Md Kauser Ahmed recently submitted the petition to the HC seeking it's directives on the authorities concerned of the government to take necessary measures at the court and bar association premises to contain spread of Covid-19.
