Man crushed under train

A man was crushed to death under the wheels of a train in Dewanhat area of the port city yesterday.

The deceased was Md Selim, son of Joynab Ali of Agrabad’s Hazi Para, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafiz Bhuiyan of Chattogram Railway Station’s Police Station.

He was a rent-a-car businessman by profession, said the OC.

A train hit Selim when he was crossing the railway track in Dewanhat area around 2:00pm. He died on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy, said the police official.
