The prime accused in the case for gang-rape of a schoolgirl on September 14 in Trishal upazila is yet to be arrested.

Victim's elder sister Sabina Yeasmin Suma lodged a complaint with Trishal Police Station on September 15, accusing five youths and naming Sumon Mia, 20, son of Babul Mia of Naudhar area in Trishal municipality, as prime accused.

Sabina told journalists at Mymensingh Press Club yesterday that Sumon, who is in hiding, has been threatening her family over mobile phone.

Quoting the case statement, Trishal Police Station OC Md Azizur Rahman said the 12-year-old girl was going on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on September 14 evening to Bhaluka upazila headquarters where her father runs a mattress shop.

Locals took the girl to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where she is undergoing treatment, he said.
