Lightning kills one

A youth was killed in lightning strike in Thanaghat area under Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday night.

The deceased, Md Arif, 20, a day labourer, was son of Amir Hossain of Kapasia upazila in Gazipur.

Officer in Charge of Pakundia Police Station Mafizur Rahman said a thunderbolt struck Arif while he was returning home after visiting one of relatives’ house in Kishoreganj, leaving him dead on the spot.
