Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways to operate flights from Dhaka

Jazeera Airways, a Kuwait-based airlines, has started operating flights from Dhaka.

The inaugural flight of Jazeera Airways arrived in Dhaka on Thursday night and left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early today.

The airline will operate flights on the Dhaka-Kuwait route as well as to different destinations in the Middle East.

With Jazeera Airways, a total 13 foreign airlines are now operating from HSIA.  

Earlier, 12 foreign airlines began their operations from HSIA after international flight operation from Dhaka had resumed from June 16, Beni Madhab, an assistant deputy director of HSIA, told The Daily Star recently.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, 26 foreign airlines used to operate flights from HSIA.

Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, a low-cost carrier, has announced to operate weekly two flights from Chattogram from October 11, sources at Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (Caab) said.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is currently operating weekly three flights from Dhaka.
