‘JP will hold trial of Noor Hossain murder case if returns to power’
Says the party Chairman GM Quader
Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader on Sunday said his party will hold trials of the cases filed over murder of Noor Hossain and Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon who were killed during Ershad regime, if the party returns to power in future.
He made the remark at a discussion held at Jatiya Party’s Banani office in the capital.
Quader, also the deputy opposition leader of the parliament, also demanded fair investigation into the killings of Noor Hossain and Dr Milan and the punishment of those who were involved with the incidents.
Terming the country’s democracy are on exile now, JP’s Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga alleged that though the ruling Awami League returned to power with support of the JP in 1996 but it is matter of irony that grassroots-level AL leaders and activists issuing threats to their activists now.
