Handcuffed accused flees from Kishoreganj court primises

A handcuffed accused fled from Kishoreganj court premises this afternoon.

Police arrested the accused, Morshed Mia, 27, son of Akkas Mia of Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj, with 15 pieces of yaba pills last night, said Md Muklesur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bhairab Police Station.

He fled from the second floor of the Kishoreganj court building when he was being produced before a court this afternoon, the police official told our Mymensingh correspondent.

A case was lodged with Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station against Morshed. Police drives are on to arrest the accused soon, added the OC.

The law enforcers could not arrest the accused till filing the report around 8:00 pm.

Five policemen were closed to Kishoreganj Police Lines following the incident, the OC said.
