Ghoraghat UNO Wahida transferred to Ministry of Public Administration

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wahida Khanam, who is now undergoing treatment at National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital (NINH) after a brutal attack on September 3 at her government residence in Dinajpur, has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration as special acting officer (Senior Assistant Secretary).

The ministry issued a notification, signed by its Deputy Secretary Alia Meher, on September 16 in this regard.

Wahida's husband Md Mezbaul Hossain, UNO of Pirganj upazila in Rangpur district, was transferred to the Health Ministry's Health Service Department as senior assistant secretary, the notification reads.

The notification, issued for people's interest, will be effective immediately, it said.

UNO Wahida and her father Omar Ali were seriously injured in an attack by miscreants at her home on the Upazila Parishad premises on September 3.
