Fourth grader molested

Police on Tuesday arrested a schoolteacher on charge of molesting a fourth grade girl student in Chaugachha upazila of Jashore.

The arrestee is Tasher Uddin, 54, headmaster of Dakkhin Ballabhpur Government Primary School in Subhapukhuria union.

The victim's parents said during annual examinations on December 3, when their daughter went to the headmaster's room with a question, he molested her.

When the matter came to light, local UP member Saiful Islam caught the headmaster on Tuesday afternoon and handed him over to police.

The headmaster said he is a victim of conspiracy as the UP member continued threatening him over formation of the school committee.
