Former Dinajpur Jamaat ameer arrested

Former ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami's Dinajpur unit and also chairman of Chirirbandar Upazila Parishad was arrested by police yesterday.

Haresul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar Police Station, said they arrested Aftab Uddin Mollah, accused in several arson cases, around 11:00am in the upazila parishad compound.

A court sent Aftab Uddin to Dinajpur jail after the law enforcers produced him before it, said the police official.
