The suspension of flights from Bangladesh to 16 countries has been extended till April 30.

The 16 countries are UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bhutan, India, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh said today.

Flights on different domestic destinations will also remain suspended until April 30, CAAB said in a statement.

Operations of cargo flights, air ambulances, aid operations through air, special flights and any emergency landings will remain out of the purview of the suspension.

Bangladesh now maintains air links with China only.

The government primarily suspended air communication with different countries from March 16 to March 31.

Later, it was extended till April 15 in two phases.
