Fire breaks out at 2 RMG factories in Savar, Gazipur
No casualty reported
Fire broke out at two separate garment factories in Gazipur and Dhaka’s Savar upazila this afternoon.
The fire originated at Annontex Factory Limited in Badam area of Tongi in Gazipur around 4:00pm, Atiqur Rahman, senior station officer of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence, told our local correspondent.
Five units of firefighters are working to douse the blaze till last reported.
Meanwhile, another fire incident took place at Shasha Denim Factory in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (EPZ) located at Savar around 4:30pm, said Jahangir Hossain, senior station officer of Dhaka EPZ’s fire service office.
On information, two units of the fire fighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze one hour after their hectic efforts, our Savar correspondent reports.
There were no reports of casualty in the incidents.
