DU BCL demands capital punishment of rapists

Protesting the recent rape incidents across the country -- including the rape at the hostel of Murari Chand College in Sylhet -- members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Dhaka University unit formed a protest rally on the campus today morning, demanding exemplary punishment of the culprits.
The protest programme was organised at the base of Raju Memorial Sculpture at around 11:30am, where the speakers demanded capital punishment of the rapists.

Terming rape as an inhumane and barbaric act, BCL DU unit General Secretary Saddam Hussain urged, while addressing the human chain, that law enforcement agencies do not to spare anyone involved in such heinous crimes.
A good number of BCL activists took part in the protest programme.
