Damaging Canal: Two jailed

A mobile court sentenced two men to six months' imprisonment each for stealing earth from a government canal in Baniachong upazila of Habiganj district on Tuesday.

The convicts are Faiz Mia, 30, son of late Yunus Ali of Amirkhani Mohalla and Mohsin Mia, 28, son of late Jabed Ali of the same area.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Matiur Rahman Khan led the mobile court.
