Construction worker electrocuted

A construction worker was electrocuted and another injured at Pourosadar Bazar in Boalmari upazila yesterday.

The deceased was Md Hashem Mollah, 35, of Madhabpur village and the injured is Md Yusuf, 46, of Amritanagar village.

Police and locals said Hashem and Yusuf came in contact with live electric wire when they were working at an under-construction building around 12:30pm.

They were rushed to the upazila health complex from where they were shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as their condition worsened.

Hashem died at the hospital, said Md Kamrul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Boalmari Police Station.
