Confidence Group, BIPPA distribute 4000 PPE to police and medical staff

Confidence Group and Bangladesh Independent Power Producers Association (BIPPA) today jointly started distribution of 4000 personal protective equipment (PPE) to fight coronavirus epidemic.

As a part of the initiative, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid and BIPPA President and Confidence Group Vice Chairman Imran Karim handed over 2000 PPE to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan for the police force today at noon, said a press release.

Earlier in the morning, 180 PPEs were handed over to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice Chancellor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua on behalf of Confidence Group.

Besides, 500 PPEs were also handed over to the Kuwait Moitree Hospital for doctors, nurse and medical staff and 60 PPEs were handed over the Fire Service and Civil Defence for its staff.
