Call to keep indigenous quota intact

Indigenous students demanded keeping of five percent indigenous quota in government jobs intact.

They brought out a procession and held a rally in front of Madhupur College to realise the demand.

Bangladesh Garo Chhatra Sanggathan, Garo Student Union, Garo Chhatra Federation and Simsakabo jointly organised the programme.

The speakers at the rally protested recommendation of the quota review committee for scraping the five percent indigenous quota in government jobs.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the prime minister through Madhupur UNO in this regard.
