Boy stabbed dead, 4 arrested

A 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Gaital area of Kishoreganj town early yesterday.

The victim was Sagor Mia, son of Babul Mia of Harua Saudagarpara area in the town. 

Quoting local people, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kishoreganj Model Police Station Abu Bakar Siddiq said Sagor, a street vendor, locked in an altercation with some youths of Boubazar area over a trivial matter at a Baishakhi fair in Katiarchar area of Kishoreganj Sadar upazila on Tuesday. 

At one stage, the youths stabbed Sagor, leaving him critically injured, said the OC. 

Sagor was taken to Kishoreganj General Hospital immediately. He was then referred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. He died on the way around 2:00am. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Kishoreganj General Hospital for autopsy.  

Police detained four murder suspects but their names were not disclosed for the interest of investigation, said the police official.
