Boy killed in clash

A boy was killed and six others were injured in a clash between two families at Mahispura Uttarchar village in Morrelganj upazila of Bagerhat on Wednesday. 

The deceased was Shahin Sarder, 17, son of Kalam Sardar of the area.

KM Azizul Islam, OC of Morrelganj Police Station, said there was a longstanding land dispute between Kalam Sardar and Hayder Sheikh Titu of the village.

The family members of the two locked in a clash on Wednesday night, which left at least seven people from both sides injured.

They were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where Shahin died. Hasi Begum, sister-in-law of Titu, was arrested in connection with the incident, said the OC.
