Biman to operate flights to Jeddah, Riyadh on Sept 26, 27

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to operate a Dhaka-Jeddah flight on September 26 and a Dhaka-Riyadh flight on September 27 for migrant workers with tickets -- for March 16 and 17 -- to the respective destinations.

Passengers with return tickets for March 16 and 17 are requested to contact the Biman Sales Office for booking tomorrow with necessary documents, including tickets, passports, approval from apps/ links specified in Saudi Arabia, Biman Managing Director and CEO Mokabbir Hossain said in a message.

Other passengers will also be notified for booking in phases, subject to approval of new flights from the Saudi authority, he said.

Biman also requested other passengers not to crowd Biman's sales offices unnecessarily.

The national flag carrier also said Covid-19 negative certificate is mandatory and all passengers will have to arrive in Saudi Arabia within 48 hours of their sample collection for the test.

"Therefore, all passengers will have to conduct Covid-19 test from Dhaka and will have to travel from Dhaka," said the Biman MD.
