Body of a Bangladeshi youth has been recovered from Mominpara border in the northern district of Panchagarh.

Locals spotted the body of 25-year-old Hasan Ali near border pillar no. 752 this afternoon and informed police, reports our Panchagarh correspondent.

According to locals, he was a cattle trader of Khalpar area under the Sadar upazila, said local police.

Upon being informed, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and police personnel went to the spot and recovered the body, said Yousuf Ali, superintendent of police (SP) in Panchagarh.

“Blood clot was found near his right ear. However, we are yet to confirm if it was the result of a bullet injury,” said the SP.

Police have sent the body to the Panchagarh Modern General Hospital.

“Cause of the death would be known after running an autopsy,” said Lt Col Mominul Haque, commanding officer of BGB 56 battalion in Nilphamari.
