Bangladesh Bank DGM shot in Khulna

A high official of Bangladesh Bank in Khulna has been shot in his house in Khulna city.

Pravash Kumar Dutta, deputy general manager, was shot in the abdomen and is currently hospitalised, our local correspondent reports.

About four to five miscreants entered the house forcibly around 10:30pm and shot him, a family source told The Daily Star.

Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Khulna, Sonali Sen said she has heard about the incident and has dispatched forces to the spot.

Pravash is admitted at Khulna Medical College Hospital in a critical state.

Pravash is the son-in-law of Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda.
