Attorney general’s office staffer suspended for demanding bribe

An office assistant of the attorney general's office has been suspended on charge of demanding bribes from a lawyer.

Legal action will be taken against office staffer Mohasin Ali as per criminal law, a written statement issued by the office today said.

Mohasin demanded bribe from a lawyer to help him with a case, the statement said.

The lawyer lodged a complaint with the attorney general asking him to take legal action against the staffer.

He also attached the recording of the call with Mohasin as evidence with the complaint.
