Apprentice lawyer killed in road accident in Feni

An apprentice lawyer was killed in a road accident in Feni's Lalpur area on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Md Mohiuddin, 32, resident of Belgaon village under Banskhali upazila in Chattogram, our Feni correspondent reports quoting Md Jashim Uddin, sub-inspector of Mohipal Highway Police outpost.

He was an apprentice lawyer of Chattogram district court.

The accident took place at around 5:00pm when the lawyer lost control of his motorcycle and hit another vehicle before crashing on the highway, said the SI, adding that he sustained critical injuries in the accident.

Police rescued him and took him to Feni Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, added the SI. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

SI Jashim said the victim was returning to Chattogram after seeing off his brother at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
