ACC arrests college teacher

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday arrested a teacher of Hatiya Degree College on allegation of continuing job with fake teachers’ registration certificate.

The accused is Shahida Akhter Rubi, lecturer of Islamic History and Culture department at the college, said Subel Ahmed, assistant director of ACC in Noakhali.

Rubi allegedly got the job with the fake certificate of the teachers’ registration exam in 2010.

Later, she enrolled in the MPO and drew Tk around 5.5 lakh during the period between November 2012 and March 2016.

A team comprising with the officials of education ministry and audit department announced her certificate fake in 2015.
