‘Abduction’ of Schoolgirl: BCL leader among 3 sued

A case was filed on Tuesday night against three people including a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader for allegedly abducting a schoolgirl of ninth grade in Moulvibazar’s Kamalganj upazila.

In the case filed with Kamalganj Police Station, the girl’s father alleged that Hasan Ahmed, general secretary of Kamalganj Degree College unit of BCL, and his two accomplices kidnapped her from near the college campus while she was going home after school around 5:00pm on Monday.

Hasan’s father is Abdur Rakib from Ballarpar village in the same upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of the police station Arifur Rahman said they were trying to trace the girl and make arrests in this connection.
