6.66 lakh Yaba tablets destroyed

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Sunday destroyed around 6.66 lakh Yaba tablets, which were seized on October 5 from Kalapara Bridge area.             

Rab destroyed the Yaba tablets on the premises of the Judicial Magistrate's Court. Judicial Magistrate HM Imranur Rahman, Rab-8 Patuakhali Camp Company Commander Tajul Islam, Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Monirul Islam and local journalists were present.

A Rab team arrested two alleged smugglers and seized the Yaba tablets, a private car, a pistol and four bullets from their possession in a drive on October 5.
